From Buddy Holly to The Highwaymen, Waylon Jennings made his mark on music history. Fender was always by his side, with his treasured 1954 Telecaster in leather-clad perfection.
David Brown of the Custom Shop joined forces with the Jennings family to recreate this iconic instrument, complete with all the natural wear from decades of use. The 2-piece ash body is finished in Butterscotch Blonde and wrapped in a hand-tooled leather cover, matched with a 10/56 “V”-shaped quartersawn maple neck. Hand-wound ‘50/’51 Blackguard pickups offer the classic Telecaster sound with bright highs and a well-balanced midrange and low end.
