Yngwie J Malmsteen, the iconic guitar virtuoso who revolutionized the neo-classical shred genre with his modified Vintage White Stratocaster, has finally met his match in the Fender Custom Shop. Together, we've crafted this guitar to perfection, taking Malmsteen's feedback into account every step of the way. From the special pickups to the uniquely scalloped fingerboard, this guitar is a true masterpiece. Originally launched in 1988, the Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster was one of Fender's first official signature models, and now we've added this Custom Shop edition to our exclusive Artist Collection. With custom Seymour Duncan YJM Fury single-coil pickups that balance dynamic response and articulation, this guitar is designed to enhance your performance in every way. The two-piece select alder body boasts a NOS lacquer finish with WLS undercoat, while the tinted maple neck features a "Custom C" profile that's perfect for fast playing.
 
This fingerboard is scalloped with a 9.5" radius, reminiscent of Malmsteen's original, for improved control and note manipulation. Featuring a "big" headstock, vintage bridge, and "F"-stamped tuning machines, it also boasts 21 super-jumbo frets, a brass nut, and special strap locks for extra security, making it a perfect fit for shredders and non-shredders alike. With its unique style and player-oriented enhancements, this guitar is sure to bring fresh inspiration to any musician's repertoire.
