Suhr Riot Reloaded Distortion Pedal
- DESCRIPTION
In addition to the much loved Riot, we now also have the Suhr Riot RELOADED!
First of all, the original Riot is NOT being replaced by the Riot Reloaded. They are two different pedals doing two different things. Sure, they're very similar, but certainly different nonetheless.
The Suhr Riot has been very sucessful in finding it's way onto MANY pedalboards across the world since it's release in 2009. While still very much in demand in it's original form, Suhr realized there were many people that wanted a somewhat different variation of the Riot. By listening to customers' requests, the tone gurus at Suhr seeked to offer an alternate to the Riot that satisfied these requests. Through countless hours of testing and modifying, Suhr now offers the Riot in a versiona that is incrediably amp-like, aggressive, in your face, and features more gain (30% more than the original).
Riot Reloaded is the ideal choice for players seeking Hi-Gain Rock, Metal, and drop tuning style tones.
HOW DOES IT RESPOND? - One of the great things about playing a really nice amp is it's ability to respond to dynamics and touch. Most pedals have a difficult time with this, but the Riot Reloaded achieves this in a way few pedals can. Every nuance of your playing is brought out with it's extremely dynamic response.
HOW MUCH GAIN? - The Riot Reloaded gives you over 30% more gain than the original. The engineers at Suhr balanced the dual gain stages to increase saturation and upper harmonics, resulting in improved midrange articulation, more sustain, and a tighter three-dimensional sound. With a simple twist of your volume knob, you can easily morph from mild chunk to full on metal assault.
TONE SHAPING - The tone control was modified to emphasize upper mid frequencies for a sweeter, more cutting tone, without sounding harsh or fatiguing.
QUICK FACTS:
Amp-Like Dynamics and Response
Over 30% More Gain than the original
Modified Tone Control emphasizing upper mid frequencies for a more cutting tone.
Three Position Voice Switch - Provides Classic, Modern, Scooped EQ settings.
HOW ARE THE RIOT AND RIOT RELOADED DIFFERENT?
1) Essentially, the Riot is a bit more compressed with it's response while the Riot Reloaded offers more dynamics and a quicker response.
2) As well, the Tone control on the Reloaded is more of a Mid Frequency control as opposed to an All Frequencies tone control that is present on the Riot.
