The Nash T-68 Pink Paisley Guitar is truly something special.

We recently spoke with Bill Nash about the process of how he was able to bring this to the public. It wasn't easy... As you may know the original paisley was made from very special wallpaper. This paper was only used in the actual ones from late 60s, as all the subsequent re-issues used a variety of different underlays, some looking more correct than others.

Bill searched for a very long time for a bolt of the original paper and finally (after 2 years) found a yard of it from a guy in Germany. He then took this paper to a custom wallpaper maker in Los Angeles and had it replicated as far as the art was concerned (at the hourly rate of a graphic designer). Then came the search for a paper that matched both the grain and the sparkle of the original. He went through several sample runs until he got what he wanted. All in all, it took three years to bring it to light.

If anyone knows about building vintage guitars, it's Bill Nash! He has worked with a HUGE number of them for many years and has a great deal of knowledge about how a vintage guitar looks and feels. The aged control knobs, pickguards, dinged and scratched finish, and aged hardware make the guitar look old, but the modern techniques used to make the guitar ensure that it plays like a brand new instrument. Each Nash
T-68 Pink Paisley Telecaster is built by hand, so each one is completely unique. It features a maple fingerboard, alder body, and Jason Lollar hand-wound pickups. The entire guitar is given a very level of wear via a relicing process.

About the Lollar Pickups in this guitar:

The Lollar Vintage T (neck) has a full bodied midrange, clear top end, sounds full clean and will break up an amp moderately. It's wound with larger diameter wire for less compression than typical tele neck pickups. Alnico 5 magnets. Vintage style cloth lead wire. Wax potted.

The Lollar Special T (bridge) is a higher output version of the Vintage T Series Bridge with a rounder top end, a little more midrange, and more bottom end. Roll the tone control back a bit and get a somewhat convincing P-90/vintage humbucker tone. Flat pole design with graded Alnico 5 magnets. Vintage style cloth covered lead wire. Wax potted.
